Meet Kevin R. Edwards, DDS
Dr. Kevin Edwards is a Northwest native, and has designed and built an advanced endodontic specialty practice in the heart of downtown Portland, Oregon. Kevin Edwards was born in Louisiana and raised in Spokane, Washington.
Dr. Edwards attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco California, where he obtained his DDS degree as the valedictorian of his class and received additional honors of excellence. Dr. Edwards continued his postdoctoral studies at the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, where he received his certificate of endodontics, again with highest honors, and he was awarded the Louis l. Grossman Award as the top endodontic resident. Dr. Edwards is proud of his superior dental and endodontic education, and hopes to continue to represent these Universities with the highest levels of dental scholarship, patient care, and professionalism.
Training at the University of Pennsylvania has given Dr. Edwards the tools, experience and knowledge to treat conventional endodontic cases as well as those that require a surgical treatment. Dr. Edwards has published his experiences and authored several articles that have been published in the Journal of Endodontics. In addition, many of his cases have been used in studies and research, and subsequently published in journals such as Dentistry Today and the Journal of Endodontics. Dr. Edwards has also been honored to present his research at the American Association of Endodontics meetings in Honolulu, Hawaii, New Orleans, Louisiana and Vancouver, British Colombia.
In addition to his busy practice, Dr. Edwards regularly lectures about the most current endodontic procedures for Tulsa Dental. Because he is constantly on the cutting edge of his profession, and because of the scope of his microsurgical practice, Dr. Edwards is accredited to offer Continuing Education credits to Dentists and their teams at these lectures. He enjoys his visits to various Dental Societies and Dental Meetings around the United States and Canada, as he shares his knowledge about providing the best in endodontic care.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Edwards and his wife Tara, enjoy spending time with their four children Parker, Spencer, Ellie and Harrison, and being an active part of their busy lives. Kevin is a devoted sports fan, as well as an avid golfer, and enjoys wakeboarding with his kids during the summer, and skiing during the winter.
